What You'll Do:
Inspire Home Loans (an affiliated company of Century Communities) is seeking a Loan Processor to work remotely supporting our West Region Team. The Loan Processor is responsible for achieving production goals in processing as established by the company. This role ensures exceptional customer service by maintaining a thorough knowledge of lending programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, demonstrating a commitment to professional ethics, and complying with Federal and State compliance policies. This position is remote, preferred location is West Region.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Analyze conditions for conventional and government loan programs to ensure compliance with investor specifications (AUS and underwriters).
  • Review and verify accuracy of all documentation to ensure guidelines are met.
  • Set and explain proper expectations for the loan process and documentation needed to complete the loan application.
  • Collect applicable conditions from the borrower for submission to underwriting.
  • Proactively communicates with all parties (buyer, title/escrow, internal staff), providing timely updates and gathering all required documentation to ensure all conditions are met and full loan approval obtained.
  • Notify Loan Officer of potential Change of Circumstances requiring a new Loan Estimate to be issued.
  • Ability to process 19-22 closed loans per month and manage a pipeline of 45-60 loans.
  • Ability to handle stress and escalations in a friendly, helpful manner.
  • Follow up after loan closes to congratulate, thank, and provide the next steps to the customer.
  • Respond to all Post-Closing phone calls/emails received, including applicants, approved borrowers, Inspire Home Loans staff, Century Communities staff, escrow, or title representatives.
  • A willingness to cross-train and assist with other roles as directed by management.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
What You Have:
  • Teamwork attitude, ability to work independently, and be self-motivated.
  • Familiar and up to date on mortgage regulatory compliance, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate an outstanding level of customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assignments, manage, and perform multiple tasks.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to work overtime if necessary.
Your Education and Experience:
  • A high school or equivalent is required, college preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of loan processing experience required, builder preferred.
  • Knowledge of FNMA / FHLMC and FHA/VA/USDA programs required.
  • Proficiency in DO, DU, LPA, and other Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) technology.
  • Strong familiarity with loan origination systems, Encompass a plus.
